Precious Son LO - Revamp!

I believe this will be the last revamping I will do for this year because I really have to work on with our Christmas decorations here at home.  So many ideas in my brain but I need to narrow it down.  First of all I have to have a final decision on what Christmas theme we're having this year.  My son has been asking me almost everyday and I couldn't give him a definite answer ... yet.  Well, I still have this day to make a final decision then create then decorate.  Everything has to be up by December 1, which reminds me it is also hubby's birthday.

NOW - 2011

I just love the revamp layout and it really made me smile =)  The little boy climbing the tree is a cut from My Community Cricut Cartridge and the sentiment "Great Boy" is a cut I made using Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge.

Thanks for dropping by!
until then.....

Sweet Amanda - Revamp

Yesterday was a lazy day for me and it has always been like that if it is a Sunday.  I would sleep till 11am but yesterday I woke up at 12nn.  Yeah I know what you're gonna say - wasted hours for crafting ... and that's exactly how I felt.  When I woke up hubby was busy tinkering his motorbike while Joseph is watching his favorite cartoon at the living room.  Looking at our wall clock my goodness it's time for lunch and I bet my men at home are hungry.  I hurriedly made ground meat omelet served with fried rice and sliced cucumber on the side.

After lunch I made a decision to revamp Amanda's framed picture at our wall but my mind is screaming for chocolate bar.  I desperately search for a bar at home coz I usually have candies everywhere heheheheehe but no chocolate.  I locked myself in the bedroom very very sad almost in tears (true!) and that's how hubby found me.  Naturally he asked what's wrong and after explaining to him that I'm desperately craving for a chocolate but all we have are gummy and hard candies.  Yeah he laughed and told me to buy instead.  Two blocks away we have a gasoline store and they have a mini grocery, too.  Your guess is right!  I put on a thick jacket coz it's freezingly cold and walked so fast to the store and bought the bars I think I like for the day.

When I got back hubby was not at home anymore coz it's his time and day for the gym ... Gustaf is in his room ... my son is still watching TV but this time in his room.  Oooohhh-la-la ...yummy-yummy .... I ate the first bar and super satisfied. Feeling happy after a bar of chocolate I was then in the mood to revamp an old scrapbook tradional layout of my step-daughter Amanda.  She's 23 now and working in Norway.  We miss her from time to time but we know she's enjoying her life at Norway with her boyfriend.

Now - 2011
I still used the original DP for the base as well as the band with buckle.  This time i filled the heart buckle with pearlmaker so it will look like a studded buckle.  I made a cut using Paper Lace Cricut Cartridge then added flowers I bought in Thailand last 2009 then adhered "bloom" and "scatter joy" chipboards which I also added crycstal glaze so it looks like a bubble sticker.  For the word "Sweetie", I made a cut using Lovestruck Cricut Cartridge Solution.

I believe it's way much better this time =)

PINAY Layout - Revamped

Here's another revamped LO I made.  I'm happy with the reults and I think it will take several years before I get tired with it and revamp again.  I mainly used Forever Young Cricut Cartridge ... used pastel glittered alpha chipboards.

With this previous LO I adhered acrylic jumbo flowers and jumbo sequins, a native hat and a pendant that says Världens Bästa Mamma (The Worlds' Best Mom) plus the diamond studded ruby earings my mom gave to me.

Revamping A Layout : Always and Forever

I finally decided to revamp one of our framed pictures at home.  It was year 2007 when I made the layout with only but few tools and materials.  As months and years passes by I get to acquire lots of items and was indeed opened to the real world of paper crafting.  Looking at my past layouts, I am itchy to revamp most of it and so I started with our simple wedding picture taken 2002 of September.

After few weeks I saw fabric flowers at Panduro and bought a pack then added to my LO

NOW - 2011

The Angel with an arrow is a cut I did using Love Struck Solution cartridge.
The sentiment "Always and Forever" is a cut using Sentimental Cricut cartridge.

Welcome to Our Halloween

When I finally realized that all decors are done and packed ... ready to be set up for my son's Halloween Birthday Party, it dawned on me that I don't have at least one decor for outside door of the venue and so I hurriedly grabbed my failed cupcake holder which I made using Happy Haunting cartridge.  I removed the stand coz that's where I made a mistake and simply transformd it into a WELCOME sign (layout).

Materials Used:
All the stamps I used are by Hella Bella Designs
Happy Haunting Cricut Cartridge
Sentimental Cricut Cartridge - "Welcome" cut at 3 1/2" (fit to page)
Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge - Streetsign/Lampost cut at 7"
Copic combined with Pro Markers

Playing with Paper Lace Cartridge

Project Completed : 07 February 2011

I truly appreciate the Paper Lace Cricut Cartridge. Just like any cartridge it is full of possibilities. I love the curves but in some cases the intricacies just drive me nuts hahahahahahahahahaha especially when adhering. The cuts can be used as a stand alone and that's why I just made these cuts as it is. I can easily reach for one and write something at the back part.

But look what I did more on the Happy Birthday note cards, click here =)

Happy Haunting Cartridge

Lots of great things to say about this cartridge but to sum it up I should say AWESOME!  I believe that every Cricut user should have one.  So many cute things to cut and the 3D Haunted House is one of the best.  Although it entails tons of patience at the end one will feel fulfilled.

I would like to thank my son for firmly deciding that he will have a Halloween Birthday this year ... and yes he did!  Otherwise, I don't think I will choose to cut and assemble the 3D Haunted House this year.  It was an awesome experience step-by-step, all the way through.  One thing one has to remember:

The first cut if you look at the handbook, you have to cut it "fit to page" then look what size it's equivalent - and that should be 7".  From second cut till last do not use fit to page button but adjust to 7" instead.  Otherwise, your house will not be in perfect shape when assembled.  Be sure to cut all the cuts required and this part drove me crazy hahahahahahahahaha.

Lastly, PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE mixed with joy and laughter - a must!!!!  To see my fully assembled 3D Haunted house click here =)

My 3D Haunted House

Whew!  this haunted house was 1 week in the making.  It could have been less but I had to manage creating different things all at the same time just to beat deadlines.  I'm happy how it turned out and it was a big hit during my son's Halloween Birthday party.

And here it is with the spider web everywhere:

Materials Used:

Old box cover as base of my scene
Acrylic paints : Black and Green
Spider Web(s)
Acrylic Stamp for the bricks effect at the chimney
Halloween vellum by Panduro
Battery operated tealight

Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Silver

                              Ghosts - 2"
                              Gate - 5"

Country Life, Straight from the Nest, and Zoobaloo - Grasses

Last Minute Treat Bags

Last minute it was!!!!  Whew!

About 8pm in the evening on the night before my son's Halloween Birthday party, a mom called and she's very very sorry for not informing me that her daughter would love to come to the party.  I set a deadline and it was written on the invitations we sent out.  I always make extra give-a-ways .... about 3,  just in case someone shows up without enlisting but in this case all extras have been properly labeled.  So what do you expect - of course I said yes to her then after putting down the phone I was in totally panic.  I had to go out and take for a short walk that night just to think on what to do.

With an idea on my mind I discussed the situation with my hubby.  So here's the plan:  there will be 2 toddlers coming over and I have to make 2 special give-a-ways for them instead just so I have 1 more extra kiddie give-a-way and the other extra will be given to the little girl, a classmate of my son.  All is settled =)

Here's the 2 give-aways I made for 2 little/toddler =)

Aside from toys and candies inside the treat bags, I also included 2 teddy bears.  The treat bags were made using Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge.

until then......
